Today, we are diving into the world of Agentic AI, but instead of massive server farms, we are running a self-programming AI agent directly on a $5 ESP32-S3 microcontroller. Meet ESP-CLAW: an on-device AI agent that controls hardware, writes its own Lua scripts, and even debugs its own display glitches, all through Telegram.

We’ll walk through the complete setup using the web flasher, configure the Anthropic API, and test the agent by controlling RGB LEDs, calibrating an analog soil moisture sensor, and running an I2C OLED display.
