In this video, I stress test the Tuya T5 AI development board by building a complete product from scratch: Iris, an AI vision assistant. Inspired by high-end accessibility devices like OrCam that cost thousands, Iris provides vision support for just a fraction of the price.

What is Iris?
Iris is a vision co-pilot that uses the T5 board's native camera, audio, and compute to help users navigate and interact with the world.
• Navigate Mode: A single tap captures the scene and describes your surroundings.
• Read Mode: Point at any text and have Iris read it aloud.
• Identify Mode: Point at almost any object and ask what it is.
• Hands-Free: Trigger navigation with the "Hi, you" wake word.
Hardware & Software
The project is powered by the Tuya Open SDK, which handles everything from Wi-Fi and camera integration to the UI. The hardware itself costs roughly $80 and includes a built-in camera, display, microphone, and speaker.

Key Features:
- Web Dashboard: Configure Wi-Fi, adjust volume, brightness, and change voices/languages without reflashing firmware.
- Local Language Support: Natural AI-generated responses in various languages.
- Easy Setup: No deep embedded experience needed—use the GitHub repo and a tool like Cursor to build and flash the firmware.
