FINAL INSPECTION WITH TOM OAR | TRAPPER’S CABIN OFF-GRID BUILD
Today was a pretty special day at the Trapper’s Cabin.
My good friend Tom Oar from History Channel’s Mountain Men stopped by for the final inspection of my off-grid cabin build.
Tom is the man who helped get me on Mountain Men, and I was blessed to film two episodes alongside him during my time on the show. He’s also been part of this cabin journey from the beginning. Tom visited the site early in the build and stopped by again this past spring to see how things were coming along.
Today, I finally got to show him the finished product.
Seeing Tom’s face light up as he looked over everything I’ve accomplished made all the long days and hard work worth it. We spent some time sitting on the front porch, looking out over the Montana mountains and listening to Tom tell stories. Those are the moments you don’t forget.
This cabin was built off-grid, from the ground up, and many of the logs came right from my own property. It’s been one heck of a journey, and I appreciate every one of you who has followed along with the Trapper’s Cabin Off-Grid Build.
