New Zealand gave me peace. Then my mom called about AI — and I started looking again.

This is why we’re interrupting the regularly scheduled programming.

I’m talking about the AI incidents that got my attention, why I think they matter to New Zealand, and what Angela and I are doing as parents trying to build a life here.

Not a prediction of the apocalypse. Not pretending everything is fine, either.

Mostly, it’s a conversation about trying to protect our family’s future without missing the life happening right in front of us.
