KRITA AI API Diffusion Plugin

When it's too hot to render locally, move the GPU to the cloud. ☁️

The heatwave in Germany killed any desire to run a GPU-heavy image pipeline in my room.
So instead of rendering locally, I built a small Krita plugin that talks directly to image-generation APIs — no local model, no VRAM load, no extra heat.

Most Krita AI tools (like Acly's excellent krita-ai-diffusion) run locally via ComfyUI.
I deliberately went the other way: API-first, zero local setup.
Bring an API key, and you generate and edit right inside Krita.

What it does:
→ Text-to-image
→ Mask-based inpainting with clean, feathered edges — select a region, give an instruction, get a seamless result
→ Reference images to drop a specific object into a scene

Models via one dropdown: FLUX.2 from Black Forest Labs, and Google's Nano Banana 2.

Honestly, what still amazes me is how far you get with vibe coding. Had the idea this morning right after waking up, sat down, and the plugin came together in no time.

Open source, feedback welcome
