Did you know Japan has some of the best diving spots in Asia?

Most people think of Japan as Tokyo, Kyoto, temples, sushi, and ramen — and yes, all of that is amazing.

But Okinawa is a completely different side of Japan.

Warm water, colourful coral reefs, visibility up to 30 metres, and dive sites for different levels — from calm beginner-friendly reefs to more advanced drift dives.

Most dives in Okinawa are boat dives, so it’s best to book in advance. And if you’re planning to dive around the Kerama Islands, staying in Naha makes everything much easier.

One important thing: not all dive centres in Okinawa have English-speaking instructors.
