I've spent 25 years designing and building websites. I've just made the most ambitious website of my career — and AI did about 95% of the work.
I used Claude to help create a website full of physics, games, sound and things you can throw around. It brings back the playful, experimental spirit I miss from the early web.
Getting there took weeks of rejected concepts, creative direction and pushing past “good enough”. In this video, I share the failed attempts, the breakthrough, and the uncomfortable question it left me with: if AI wrote the code and created so much of the visual work, did I actually design it?
It's an honest look at AI web design, the value of taste and experience, and why this project has made me more optimistic about our industry.
