"A paper boat sails down a rainy street": nobody filmed it, yet there it is. We take one little clip
through every step a video generator uses, and you can see and hear each one: a video is about 300 pictures that
all have to match, a compressor squeezes it in space and time, the block is cut into spacetime patches, the whole
clip is cleaned up from pure noise at once (listen to the hiss turn into rain), and a decoder unpacks it into
full-size video, sometimes with matching sound. The clip, the rain and the music in this video were made in code,
not with an AI tool.
