ChatGPT Dots for construction is OpenAI's answer to Grok Bot, and it goes after the thing most contractor teams still struggle with in ChatGPT and Claude: which project to work in, what's connected, and what a skill can and can't do. A dot is an always-on agent with its own computer. You fire everything at it, it works out where to send each task, and it keeps going after your laptop is closed. This video covers the couple of things in Dots that make a real difference for construction, and why most businesses already set up on Claude shouldn't switch yet.

It starts with who can get it (ChatGPT Pro from Pro 100 up, or Business Premium, with Pro not offered in the UK or Europe) and how it compares with Grok Bot, including the stronger model underneath. Then the construction side: sending a dot off to run a structured job in ChatGPT Work or Codex, messaging it from site through Slack or Teams to run your addendum skill and report the changes, and the morning rundown that goes through your variations, change order and subcontractor registers to flag what you've forgotten. It finishes with why easier AI still needs reviewed outputs, solid workflows and a team that knows how to use it, and a straight answer for power users, businesses on Claude and current Grok Bot users.

Dots hadn't reached my account when I recorded this, so it's my take from the launch details and my own time running Grok Bot, not a hands-on demo.
