Blender UV unwrapping is still one of the hardest tasks for AI, so I tested Claude Opus 5.5 vs GPT-6 Astra on it. You guys fairly admit that Claude's vision is not as good as GPT's, so I gave both of them a few 3D models and asked them to unwrap. Trust me, that is quite a challenging task.
GPT-6 Astra failed. The UV is still a mess, and if you see something like this, it's not acceptable. Even with vision it didn't manage it. Opus 5.5 didn't split the objects, which I appreciate, but look at how many small islands. Only one piece looks more or less decent, so Opus failed too. Each of them took 20 minutes and 10 bucks. AI UV unwrap is not there yet, so for now this is still a job for the artist.
