FULL DISCLOSURE
We are Logo Diffusion, so one of the four tools is ours. A creator we have never spoken to ran this comparison last year and put us on top. We re-ran it under the same rules for everyone, including us. Missed a feature? Tell us in the comments.

HOW WE SCORED
Four criteria, five points each: ease, how far you can take it, quality including vector export, and price.

GENERATED OR ASSEMBLED
The clearest split here is not how the logos look. It is what the tool does when you press generate. Two draw a new image from your prompt. Two match your keywords against a library of icons and fonts they already own. Design.com returned close to 200 pages about two seconds after we typed the name, which is matching, not drawing. You customise by swapping an icon or a font from that library, so another business picking the same ones can walk away with a very similar logo.

THE FOUR TOOLS
Canva, 10/20. Draws new images, and wording changes everything: "Spicy Wok Asian restaurant" returned a photo of a restaurant. The output is a flat image, so there is no layered logo to reopen and no icon to swap. Vector needs a paid plan, though a usable PNG is free. Best if your logo will live where you already make everything else.

Design.com, 8.5/20. Relevance filtering is good: say restaurant and you get woks and chopsticks. Vector comes with a subscription.

Looka, 7.5/20. The best onboarding of the four, then the same icon and font approach. Best if you want a one-time purchase and ready-made brand templates rather than a subscription.

Logo Diffusion, 18/20. Drawn from what you give it rather than picked out of a library. Start from text, a hand-drawn sketch, or a photo. Pick one of 11 logo styles, or leave it on Auto and it reads your prompt and picks for you.

AFTER THE LOGO EXISTS
The Magic Editor is text-based. Describe the change and it targets that part rather than redrawing everything. Its Elements turn one logo into a merch set, brand presentation, icon set, or logo system: wordmark, lettermark, emblem, symbol and the original.

The Mockup Generator ships 70+ ready-made mockups and generates any you describe. A noodle takeout box, a logo engraved on a chopstick: you type it, and a fixed template library cannot. Export is SVG and transparent PNG, layered so every shape has its own path.

LOGO DIFFUSION PRICING
Free plan, no credit card. Downloads are 512x512, watermarked, and carry no commercial licence, so the free tier is for trying it rather than launching.
Basic is $24 a month for 1,000 credits. That is up to 500 logos on Text to Logo, or up to 200 vector exports, or any mix of the two. Every tool is included and credits are the only limit.
Every generation made on a paid plan is licensed for commercial use, and that licence stays valid after you cancel.
