An AI Engineer's real job isn't building the LLM.

The LLM sits at the center - but it can't work alone.
It connects to tools like the Yahoo Finance API and web search.
It pulls from knowledge too - private databases, PDF files.

The code wiring all of this together has a name: Glue code.

And there are two ways to write it.
Let frameworks like CrewAI or Agno handle it → agentic app.
Write it all yourself in Python → workflow app.

Same destination. Two different roads.
