AI Image Generation for Interior Designers still kinda sucks

AI-generated concept images are the number one use of AI for interior designers.

And while image generation models keep improving month after month, you would think that designers would be over the moon with what they are able to do with Nano Banana and GPT Image 2 and Midjourney and Stable Diffusion and Flux and Adobe Firefly and Veras and....

But they're not. The interior designers I speak with are SUPER-frustrated with AI image generation for their design concept images. Even as designers have improved their prompt engineering, AI image generators still have a hard time giving designers exactly what they want.

But...here's the part where I stick up for the AI image generators....cuz it's not their fault.

The reason why #interiordesigners are not happy with AI generated concept images is because of 3 things:

1. AI can't guess who you are as an interior designer
2. AI can't guess what you want
3. AI can't guess how you want it

Those 3 things - CONTEXT, INTENT, SPECIFICATION - is what AI needs from your prompt to give you a truly awesome result.

But...what if instead of you becoming the world's best prompt engineer, AI asked you for that information...and kept asking until it was sure that it could give you a great output.

Wouldn't that be cool? Just like you ask your clients questions to help you truly understand what they need from you, why can't AI ask for what it needs from you?

I'm beta-testing an AI image generation tool that does exactly that right now. Over 50 designers testing and complaining that my tool still sucks :(. But we're getting closer. I think by July, I should have something to share with y'all
